The TV recording site TVCatchup.com has had its service suspended after complaints from the BBC, Channel 4, ITV and Channel Five. TVCatchup launched in trial last year, allowing users to record offline TV shows, watch them online and share copies with other members. The UK-focused site immediately attracted the concern of broadcasters, which have invested millions of pounds in their own web TV catch-up services. A note posted on the site over the weekend said the web hosting company terminated the TV service on February 15, and that management assumed this was as a result of requests from broadcasters. Back to top Q4 in Latin America for DirecTV DirecTV Latin America achieved net subscriber additions of 199,000 in the quarter, a jump the company attributed to strong customer growth in Brazil, Venezuela and Argentina.

Kajal came here from an Indian orphanage nine months ago amid high hopes and great fanfare. A well-known eye surgeon would restore her sight. Local news outlets featured her story. And adoptive parents in Franklin quickly stepped forward to offer a new home to the little girl found abandoned in an Indian train station three years ago, blinded with acid by her stepmother. .
YouTube wine guru: A subtle hint of 'Big League Chew'
He's been called the first wine guru of the YouTube era. Yet Gary Vaynerchuk's bigger distinction may be this: He's a wine geek you'd actually enjoy having over for dinner. Mr. Vaynerchuk, 32, hosts a daily video blog called Wine Library TV (which he has just rechristened the Thunder Show). To call it educational programming might be a stretch at times. More than one commentator has likened it to Wayne's World - with wine instead of guitars. Mr. Vaynerchuk's mission: to make chardonnay drinking safe for what he calls the "college-kid crew," many of whom presumably are too intimidated to stray far from Coors Light and Jägermeister shooters. A natural in front of the webcam, Mr. Vaynerchuk discusses a new topic each day from Springfield, N.J., where he co-owns a large wine store with his father.
Real-life experiences, really well done
Our own age, that is. The first time Jerry Colbert listened to "Closer Than Ever," just after the revue's 1989 off-Broadway premiere, he thought it was ... OK. "Now, I think, `How could I not have loved this show?!' " says Colbert, a Charlotte-based actor/singer featured in Collaborative Arts' current staging at Spirit Square. Maturity, Colbert explains with a shrug, has added him to the show's passionate fan base among theater insiders. "It's filled with humanity," says Colbert, describing "Closer Than Ever" as a series of entertaining and often moving observations on a range of experiences, from dating to parenthood to the loss of a spouse. "All the songs address real-life situations that I think anyone who's achieved a certain age will relate to." The show, by songwriting team David Shire and Richard Maltby Jr.
Only 3 more days ...
I also used the song "Oh Holy Night" on my answering machine as background music. It is my God given right afterall to express my opinion and I do not have to eliminate the use of God or religion for fear of offending someone. If they are offended, perhaps they should seek the help of the ACLU or talk to some of the idiots from Planet Hollyweird. Deborah McKown Florissant, CO .
